"This new data facility‘s innovative design makes good environmental sense as well as sound commercial sense," says Lynn Blodgett, CEO of ACS. "By making environmentally conscious decisions, we can make informed business decisions to ensure our clients are more competitive."
IBM designed and build the new data center, allowing for future upgrades without any downtime or disruption to customer services. NLyte Software provided the facility‘s data center performance management solutions to drive its green program.
Additionally, Nimsoft supplied the automation and monitoring tools and Convergence Group provided network connectivity for the data center.
The new green facility expands ACS‘ current data center space in Telford to now exceed 14,000 square feet.
ACS took over the site in 1999 and employs more than 200 people in Telford with additional offices and data centers in London, Bristol and Altrincham. Together,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the locations support more than 600 customers from both the private and public sectors.
