Representatives from Germany's Bosch Group are scheduled to come to Taiwan May 14 for talks on increased purchases of precision electronic components,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) reported yesterday.
TAITRA officials said that in addition to engaging in purchase talks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Bosch representatives will also be seeking long-term business partners in Taiwan to bolster the multinational company's Taiwan outsourcing.
On the forthcoming buying tour -- the fifth of its kind under TAITRA arrangement -- Bosch is scheduled to place orders for IC boards, memory chips,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], passive components and discrete components for consumer and household electrical appliances.
A Bosch spokesman said Taiwan companies making machinery,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], electronics and consumer electronic products that have passed ISO or TS certification and whose annual business turnover exceeds US$10 million with a workforce exceeding 100 people -- are welcome to contact Bosch for talks on long-term business partnerships.
The Bosch Group maintains 227 production bases around the world, with more than 240,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 people on its payroll and annual business transactions exceeding 40 billion euros.
The company is eyeing Taiwan as one of its gateways to the huge China market, TAITRA officials said.
