NFL Trade Rumors: Five Running Backs Who Could Be On The Move
1.) Marshawn Lynch,
NCAA Jerseys
, Buffalo Bills
It is clear that The Bills are prepared to part ways with Lynch after drafting running back
C.J. Spiller Jersey
. Lynch's touches have increased over the past few weeks, possibly to line up suitors to deal for the disgruntled running back. The Packers reportedly had interest in trading for lynch after losing Ryan Grant in Week 1 for the remainder of the season. With Fred Jackson and
C.J. Spiller Jersey
, There is no reason for The Bills to hang on to Lynch.
2.) Brandon Jacobs, New York Giants
Brandon Jacobs' frustration with his role has been clear thus far this season. That frustration went to another level during Week 2 against The Colts. The 264 pound running tossed his helmet into the crowd and later stated that he wished to be traded. Jacobs is very useful in short yardage and goal line situations. The Giants still have use for him, but if they do decide to unload him, many teams will show interest.
3.) Jerome Harrison, Cleveland Browns
With the emergence of Peyton Hillis, Jerome Harrison's role has decreased drastically. Harrison did not record a stat in Week 4 against The Bengals. Harrison was nursing a thigh injury but he was active for Week 4. Coach Mangini decided to stick with Hillis the entire game and did not play Harrison. Harrison's frustration will continue to grow with his lack of playing time, and there is a slight chance he could be in another uniform before the trade deadline.
4.) Michael Bush, Oakland Raiders
Bush has been rumored to be traded before, but the speculation has died down. With 3rd year man Darren McFadden playing exceptionally well, The Raiders might look to get some value for their backup running back. Bush has been effective for The Raiders, but with McFadden playing like the player The Raiders hoped he would be, There is no use for Bush anymore. One team mentioned earlier were The Packers, who are in need of a back. They can be a possible suitor for Bush before the deadline.
5.) Steve Slaton, Houston Texans
Steve Slaton is somewhat a sleeper to be dealt before the trade deadline, but it can be possible. The Texans have clearly showed their dedication to Arian Foster, and it will stay that way for the remainder of the 2010 season. The Texans did have high hopes for Slaton, but since the emergence of Foster, he is cleary the primary back in Houston. Look for some teams to inquire about Slaton in the upcoming weeks.
