First convened in China's western region,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/business-process-outsourcing/data-entry-outsourcing/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Data processing outsourcing</a>, the event was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/software-outsourcing/php-outsourcing/" target="_blank" class="postlink">PHP development outsourcing</a>, the Sichuan Provincial Government, the China Council for International Investment Promotion, UNCTAD and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies. <br />About 400 guests both from home and abroad, including presidents or CEOs from Microsoft, IBM, Accenture and JP Morgan Chase & Company, were present at the forum, exchanging ideas on how to develop service outsourcing and advance the information industry. <br />The forum furthered international organizations and multinationals'understanding of Sichuan's environment for investment. It will help establish a platform of dialogue and cooperation between them and local enterprises and industrial parks,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/software-outsourcing/flash-web-development/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Flash development outsourcing</a>, commented Xu Chaohui, Chief of the Foreign Investment Section, Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce (SCPDC). <br />According to SCPDC Deputy Director Cui Zhaojin, Chengdu is now stepping up its efforts to become one of the top ten national service outsourcing centers. Though the province is at an initial stage in this sector,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/company/why-orbto/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Outsourcing companies</a>, it has the capability to develop. <br />In 2005, Chengdu had software sales of RMB13 billion and service outsourcing of more than US$30 million. To date,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/software-outsourcing/flex-development/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Flex outsourcing</a>, over 3,000 software enterprises have been registered and licensed. A few world famous multinationals such as Motorola and Intel have established R & D centers here. The city has been targeted by the domestic and global software industry. <br />Software outsourcing, IC design, information security, digital entertainment, application software and built-in software will be attached high value by the city.
